Hi,

I might want to share and perhaps have some discussion if there is anyone doing this?

Since i've been trying several times but using different type of reagent and not really sure which one should be the correct one since still didn't manage to get the desired result.

Let me put some example of each result after i tried the final process which is to gas out the meth using acid hcl.

The first image showing that it does start crystalizing the final product but it just stuck in the process. Not all of the surface change to crystal from red. Only some part of it.

The second and third is almost same. It just stop at white color and it does not even get hard as crystal.

Perhaps we can discuss further if anyone has been using this method.

Being pink usually means an excessive hcl. "Shake and bake with lithium" is vague. There is a couple of documents on this site that outline that process but if you want a critique of the process you are failing at. You'll have to post it in detail

After you HCl gas. Collect your solids in a filter. Wash your solids with cold, dry acetone. This is your meth. It is in "crank" form - it is not crystallized. It should look like flour or powdered sugar. Any color besides white is impurity.

Thanks. Is it the same solid that left in the glass jar (the one that i used during the hcl gas process) same as in the filter? Because last time i was focusing on collecting the solid that left in the glass jar not in the filter. But yes, i remember there is some amount of white solid left in there.

The solids that were created when you HCl gassed. That is your meth. You HCl gas into your 'fuel' and it starts creating solids and looks like it is snowing. You continue gassing until no more solids come out. When finished gassing, you pour your fuel through a coffee filter and collect the solids. THAT is your meth. Pour cold, dry acetone onto your meth to wash it and rinse away any impurities. Let it dry. Done. This is 'Meth HCl'.

I can only give you these basic instructions. I don't know what you did or what you are speaking about when you say you already have solids in your filter or which ones you wish to collect.

I meant after i'm pouring my the fuel through the cofee filter, there was solids in the filter. And there were also solids left behind in my glass jar. Not sure how to explain that if you still couldn't understand. Perhaps i can try to give pictures if you want me to..

No, that's OK, I can understand you. I just don't really understand how you can filter a solution and there is still solids left behind in solution. That kind of defeats the purpose of filtering...

The solid happened to produced during the process of 'salting' the solution with Acid hcl. So thats why some of it is there it sticking at the glass jar wall. Do you get me?

Yes, OK.. when you pour out the jar to filter the solids... let the fuel dry from the jar. When the jar is dry, whatever is stuck to the inside of the jar you can dissolve into water or alcohol and then evaporate. Whatever is left should be meth.

If that is what came back when you gassed, then yes. You filtered all the solids and that was stuck inside?

Yes that is what i has after the hcl gas. Haven't filter it yet. So how do i crystalize it? Last time after i filtered it out and let it dry for several hours, it just turn out to be a dust..not hard as crystal that it should

Crystallization is another step after. White dust is to be expected at this point.

Basically the lithium method is the Birch -like solvated electrons method solvated electrons happen in liquid ammonia or water( can't say I have ever seen meth made with hydrated electrons, but it is a viable concept) so you are making liquid ammonia? If not it will never ever come within a universe of working , unless you are making lithium tetrahydridoaluminate
If you are doing that, post the synth that would be awesome

May i know how do i test whether it is liquid ammonia or something else? I have just tried to burn it in a glass and it become black/burnt and the smell is very stink and the taste is very bad. Not even closed to meth taste.

It would only be ammonia if you put ammonia or an ammonium salt in it. Bearing in mind meth itself is an ammonia ( an amine is Nh³ or NH² R" or NH R¹R²) as far as s test. If you add a little sodium hydroxide to an ammonia solution thick white smoke that smells fishy. It should indicate blue on ph paper and smoke thickly and foul smelling with the addition of a drop or two of conc. HCL

You don't make it Crystallize. The next step, if you have liquid annhydrous ammonia, is, you add the lithium and the liquid needs to turn dark blue. It could even turn into a metallic bronze color, but this HAS to happen

then you add your precursor( or it's already in there) and the solvated electrons reduce the [whatever, ephedrine pseudoephedrine cathinones ECT] and that is the Birch reaction. The rest is cleaning it up and recrystallization ( which is cleaning it up)
