yes its very Simple
Materials:
buchner flask (for vakuum filtration)
1-2 beaker
gloves
googles
isopropanol,ethanol (Some kind of alcohol please not use Methanol getting blind sucks)
n-butylamine
piperonal
nitroethane
SYNTHESIS: (from piperonal) To a solution of 15.0 g piperonal in 100 mL isopronanol or absolute alcohol there was added 15 mL nitroethane followed by 2ml n-butylamine (as catalyst). The mixture put in a beaker put in a soft water bath (30-50c (Clesius) stir untli all goes in solution and remove from the water bath. Let it stand in a dark place for a few days at room temperature. After that put in freezer now it forms bright yellow crystals this were removed by filtration, and air dried to yield 10.7 g of 1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-nitropropene.
The crystals looked really nice and no further purification is needed
.
You can concentrat the filtrate (if u like) and cooled like above. Dirty crystals fell and they were recrystallized with Isopropanol

scaling up in no problem
use for 1 mol piperonal 1,2 mol nitroethane
and you can neutralice the n-butylamine with acetic acid give bigger and cleaner product but its not necessary
