The Portuguese Judicial Police (PJ), through the National Unit for the Fight against Drug Trafficking, recently seized more than 6.5 tons of cocaine, which were entering the national territory by sea, and arrested three men suspected of being part of a transnational criminal organization dedicated to the introduction of large quantities of this type of drug into the European continent.

If the 6.5 tons of drugs were to reach the illicit distribution channels, they would be enough to make at least 65 million individual doses of cocaine. During the investigations carried out in Operation Tartarus, specifically in several house and office searches, several high-end cars were also seized, as well as various objects and documentation of evidentiary interest. The investigations continue.
