Rhinopront are suitable, I can't think of an alternative here in Germany either, but you end up being quite expensive to produce.
Toluene is a great solvent but not easy to get hold of. However, many solvents are suitable for extraction, if you have a decent distillation setup you can distil solvents of absolutely sufficient purity from many products at low cost. If you really want to go through with it, I can answer pretty much all your questions, but I would advise against it.
