Today we decided to deviate from the usual theme of synthesis
and publish a popular article for you.
This article is about the preparation of a
synthetic cannabinoid smoking mix, also known as Spice.
Synthetic cannabinoids originally entered our lives as powerful and, most importantly, legal analogues to marijuana. The legal status of most of them did not last long in most countries of the world. And even though the most interesting cannabinoids have been banned, people have already had a chance to try them. People loved it! It was quickly discovered that some types of cannabinoids produce effects far greater than those of marijuana and hashish. Many users learned by accident, slightly (or significantly) exceeding recommended doses. If you exceed the dosage, Spice will bring you a variety of thrills: from powerful euphoria to the most intense hallucinations and psychedelic experiences. However, most of the fans are smoking it without exceeding the dosage and are only getting high from the synthetic THC.and publish a popular article for you.
This article is about the preparation of a
synthetic cannabinoid smoking mix, also known as Spice.
At first glance, making a spice mix from synthetic reagents looks like a very simple and intuitive process.
But there are nuances to be aware of in order to make a royal smoking mix for yourself and to sell.
The preparation of a

synthetic cannabinoid smoking mix
To make a smoking mix, you will need a carrier, we recommend using dried medicinal herbs. You can buy them at the drugstore, from healers, order online or pick your own herbs that you like to taste and color.
It is best to use isopropyl alcohol (IPA) as a solvent. And the main ingredient, of course, is a synthetic cannabinoid.
There are many different cannabinoids on the market, let's take a look at the most popular ones. The power of the effects after use depends on the concentration of cannabinoid used and the tolerance of the smoker. Therefore, we recommend starting with weaker concentrations and gradually descending to stronger ones. So for each reagent, we will specify an upper and lower limit.
- X is the concentration of cannabinoid to herbal base. If you take 50 grams of cannabinoid then x20 you get 1000 grams of herbal base
Recommended concentrations of some popular cannabinoids: - JWH-018 x20-x15
- JWH-250 x10-x7
- JWH-122 x40-x30
- JWH-203 x10-x7
- AKB-48 x12-x8
- UR-144 x15-x10
- AB-Pinaca x15-x10
- AB-Chiminaca x35-x30
- AM-2201 x20-x15
- MAM-2201 x40-x35
Different cannabinoids differ in their psychoactive effects and potency. All fluorinated versions of cannabinoids are shorter in action, but stronger and more euphoric.
The strongest and most interesting cannabinoid is MAM2201, which is a fluorinated version of JWH-122. The closest to natural cannabis is UR-144.
The reagent is applied to the herbal base, so it is the second most important element. Choose herbs that are not bitter when smoked, easy to cut, and aesthetically pleasing. Some drugstore herbs are fine, but not all. Here are some of the most popular herbs: Domiana, Chamomile, Cornflower, Marigold Flower, Peppermint, etc.
We need a solvent that will take up the reagent and distribute it evenly over the base. Ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) are best for this purpose. But ethanol is rarely available and often sold under license, so we recommend using IPA. Acetone and other solvents are not recommended, as they are easily flammable, have a pungent smell that may remain in the finished mix, and dissolve cannabinoids poorly. The solvent must be completely clear and clean so as not to leave behind any dirt or impurities. Of the equipment we will need a large 6-liter flat-bottomed flask, an electric stove, an electric concrete mixer, a basin, a kitchen scale, an infrared floor heater.
Particular attention should be paid to the location of the work. You want an anonymous place, with light and no close contact with your neighbors. An outdoor garage, trailer or cottage is a good place to start. Smells will vary depending on the amount of cooking. The place must be equipped with a table for weighing and kneading, power outlets, extension cords if necessary, racks or tables for drying (you can also put it on the floor, it's a matter of convenience)
Ventilation of the room in the form of a hood, fan or open window is necessary. Due to the possibility of spontaneous combustion, it is necessary to have a fire extinguisher available and to remove all burning and flammable objects from the work area.
Before you start, you need to make a calculation of the mixtures, to determine the amount of cannabinoid and herbs to put in. Also calculate the necessary amount of solvent.
As an example we will take 330g of JWH-018 with application to peppermint herb from the drugstore in a concentration of 1 to 15 (hard mix). We set the concrete mixer in a comfortable place, connect it to the electricity, under it we put a basin in which to pour the mix after mixing. Load 5 kg of grass into the working tank (5kg = 330g jwh multiplied by the concentration of x15 gives the number of herbs needed. Small errors are acceptable)
Next, on the desktop set electric stove. Take a flask in which you pour the solvent at the rate of 500-600ml per kg of mix, i.e. in our case you take 3 liters of isopropyl alcohol. Pour the solvent into the flask, pour the reagent (it is convenient to do the pouring and pouring operations through a funnel) and put it on the stove for heating. You can immediately turn it on to maximum power for faster dissolving. The task is the complete dissolution of the cannabinoid and the mixing of the solution thoroughly. The control of complete dissolution is determined visually, by eye.
As it is ready, pour the hot solution with the concrete mixer on into the tank with herbs. Pour it gently, in a small stream. While the concrete mixer is spinning it is thoroughly mixing the base with the dissolved reagent in the IPS.
You can not use an electric concrete mixer, but manually this process will take a long time and the result of mixing will be a little worse It is difficult to achieve this quality of mixing by hand.
Stirring time is 5 to 20 minutes, but the longer you stir, the better it stirs. During stirring, the hot solvent gradually evaporates, so this process is part of the drying process.
For a steeper agitator angle, you need to cover the tank with plastic (like a garbage bag) to keep the mix from spilling out. A steeper angle gives more thorough mixing.
While the mixing is going on, we need to put the infrared heater pads in the drying area, on racks, a table, or the floor and turn on the electric grid for heating. After we finish mixing, we pour all the wet mix into the bowl prepared in advance, from which we evenly spread out our 5kg mix on the infrared dryers in a small layer of 3-5cm. You can stir the mix to speed up the drying process, but it is not necessary, it will dry in 5-8 hours. Dry until the solvent and moisture in the herbs is completely evaporated. The mix should be dry, crumbly and without extraneous odors.
- At the end of the drying process, the mix is collected in a bowl and packed into the required bags, for example 100gr, 500gr or 1kg. When the work is done, we clean up the work area and take out the trash.
You can work alone, but it's easier and more comfortable with two people. Use personal protective equipment such as rubber or latex gloves, safety glasses, and respirators. Keep your work area clean while you work. We have provided a complete scheme with general calculation schemes and an example for a 5 kg mix. Using our mixing formulas you can calculate any load. You can easily load 20-30 kilograms per day, but if space and equipment allow, you can load even more. You can easily load 20-30 kilograms per day, but if space and equipment allow, you can load even more.
Now you know how to make a royal smoking mix.
