Mixing 3CMC or 4 MMC with sugar for crystal

I was wondering if i can mix 3cmc or 4mmc with sugar then made the crystal.
Will it be a mixed crystal or they wil not grow the same together?

Maybe they will just grow together. You can try a little to test. Why do you mix these together?
