As a developing clandestine chemist, I have found myself researching immense amounts of chemistry. From amateurs to the great Hamilton Morris. Furthermore, I have done lots of study about OPSEC, most specifically the cybersecurity side of it. Although pesky, it is extremely important as we all know. This leads me to the main point of this thread, the importance of chemical purity. This may sound like DUH, of course chemical purity is important, especially to the user. Correct! Furthermore though, it is important to value chemical purity from an operational security standpoint. If at any point a clandestine chemist draws enough attention to their page that the feds decide to get involved, it is completely feasible (and likely) that any number of these agencies purchases your chemical for analysis. Just like your internet usage and other aspects of your digital presence establish patterns that the feds can use, so does the chemical makeup of whatever you are synthesizing. If it is found that you have trace impurities that could be in any way linked to your purchases, you take a huge hit on your plausible deniability if push comes to shove. With this being said, I hope it inspires my fellow synthesizers to take pride in chemical purity, not only to protect your customers and to provide the product you are advertising, but to disable any and all establishable patterns of impurities within your final product. If this means recyrstallizing in a more expensive solvent, or adding another couple hours to your synthesis by washing with solvents that help to separate any impurities, I highly recommend this. If not for your customers, then for your own safety (I repeat once more...)
Best of luck

Hello, this thing dont work the way you think, imagine the byproducts to be 1%, afther cleaning, destilations, recrystalizations etc the byproduct will be in traces amaunt like 0,001% but always there and can be linked to what reaction have been used. And by the way the whole internet is semi owned by the feds even darknet is made by them, if anyone thinks abaut any privacy in internet is so stupid 🤣 the best developers and hackers usualy work for the system too, so naivly people thinking like PGP encryption gives them balls to speak, thats eexactly what they want haha

Hmm. Heard of TLC? I like your criticism, however, a well developed synthesis and execution will be able to remove any trace from most any analysis tool, even specotrscopy. Full conversion of starting material to product without traceable impurities relatable to the precursor or reagents is very much possible!

Its not criticism its realism, and there is way to use chromatography or column to separete such things bit on large scale is impossible, all products on the streets everywhere have too much traces, if you think you can make large scale synthesis and invest on removing all traces it wont safe you ass from feds.
