Commercial Safrole

So I got a safrole bottle from a trusted chemical supply.
when you react it with KOH it turns brown to black.
when you add conc sulfuric acid it turns brown to purple to black.
The boiling point is really high above 250C.
but here is the thing the density is off, it's below 1. when I measured 25ml cylinder of it it weighted 20.3g. And it floatson top of the water.

Do you think it's an actual safrole????? am I screwed up??????!!!!!

also whats the acuracy on your scale

The water didn't dissolve it.
my scale is accurate cuz I weighted 25ml dH2O and it weighted 25g

the weight thing is strange tho mayby its safrole in sum solution ether or sum idk

Distilled water, I don't know but it hasn't any solvent smell to it.
the bottle says it's >96.5%.

just water weighs 1g/ml, so it's not water, also if it floats on water, its not miscible, IE its not water. Safrole should weigh 29.4g/25ml
