Pseudoephedrine doesn't contain amphetamine that could be extracted. To get amphetamine out of psedoephedrine you'd need to perform a synthesis. Psedoephedrine could be used as a precursor to synthesize amphetamine.

In order to synthesize amphetamine from psedoephedrine you'd need to perform a reduction reaction.

besides, you cant extract amphetamine from pseudoephedrine because it doesnt contain amphetamine. it doesnt work like that.

pseudoephedrine is a single substance, psychoactive itself. its a stimulant

you can MAKE (synthesise) meth from pseudoephedrine.

I think it can be used to make both amphetamine and methamphetamine because in the synthesis pathway for psedoephedrine to methamphetamine one first does a reduction reaction to make psedo into amphetamine and then a second one to make amphetamine into methamphetamine and these two reduction reactions can be carried out in one reaction step

DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT THAT. Yes those are partial steps in 2 totally different synthesis for meth. It would be very very dangerous to even attempt to mix anhydrous ammonia, red
Phosphorus and lithium. And bring to a boil? I actually laughed when I read that. Whoever wrote that obviously hasn’t ever worked with anhydrous.

Interesting, but I couple years back thinking about it’s possible extraction efa/pseudo from amph or meth but always I never try find some information about this idea, but I didn't come across it anywhere by chance either

Maybe you can reverse the reduction with oxidation to make methamphetamine or amphetamine back into psedoephedrine, theoretically it could work, but I haven't tried it

Brcause I've always thought it's way easier to get your hands on a product that's been made or synthesized from pseudoephedrine or ephedrine in bulk, rather than trying to score the raw stuff in smaller amounts. Even if you factor in some losses, like during recrystallization or whatever, it still makes more sense. Hmmm...

So if it is still relevant, what I wrote earlier is kinda confusing I just realized, psedo or ephedrine is a precursor to meth, but not amphetamine, but what I meant was amphetamine can be made into meth by iminating amphetamine and then reducing the imine. So what I meant is that there likely would be a possibility of reversing that reaction to make meth back into amph, although if never seen it.
