Hi, hope this is not a stupid question.
Is IPA suitable for Indole-3-yldiethylglyoxylamide recrystallization?
Checked the boiling point and it also seems suitable for removing excess diethylamine.
Thanks in advance for your help.

IPA (isopropyl alcohol) can be suitable for the recrystallization of Indole-3-yldiethylglyoxylamide, but the choice of solvent depends on various factors, such as the solubility of the compound, the desired purity, and the availability of solvents.
Indole-3-yldiethylglyoxylamide is sparingly soluble in water, but soluble in some organic solvents such as acetone, chloroform, and methanol. IPA is a polar aprotic solvent that can dissolve many organic compounds, including some amides, but its solubility properties may vary depending on the specific compound and its crystal form.
To determine if IPA is suitable for recrystallization, it is recommended to perform a solubility test and check the purity of the resulting crystals. If the compound dissolves easily in IPA and yields pure, well-formed crystals upon cooling, then IPA can be a suitable solvent for recrystallization. However, other solvents may be more effective, depending on the specific properties of the compound.
