which widely available/legal plant is best for safrole extraction?

what would be the best way of extracting the safrole from the plant material?

What's your very general geographic location? Where I'm at. For instance , Sassifrass albilum is very common. It's free and Abundant and loaded with saffrole as much as 75mg/g! Star anise camphor trees, peppercorns gingerand several other plants contain it then there are plants that contain precursors like euginol or myristacin? It can be synthesized also

I've seen posts where people have got a fair amount of material from whole peppercorns, but let me check a couple of places real quick and I'll link you

thanks. i've seen that before but haven't managed to comb through all of it lol.

i did know about the peppercorns but heard that the yield was terrible. after looking the yield seems to be 10% at best, but also seems easy enough to extract.

for anyone else interested i think is the relevant page:

that's surprising because i though it had been shut down hard in the US. even so i'm in uk.

i think i can synthesize pmk but would still like to have some options for alternative precursors.

the problem is i think all of those are watched chemcials. i'm looking into a scalable synthesis to MDP2P from ethyl vanilliin

P2NP is available on ebay or was the vanillin route is proven but scaleable? Large batches are almost impossible without a connection to watched precursors not to mention the huge volume of solvents that will flag you even with a legal route I don't mean to be a downer but most civilians are stuck with low scale

i'm sure there are definitely ways to scale up into large scale with what is available to civilians, especially due to china.

a big problem with the vanillin route is that the first step requires heating a lot of the sulfuric acid with the vanillin. heating lots of sulfuric acid in batch reactors doesn't sound good :/

could make fake companies to take delivery of solvents. it would be a big operation and require lots of capital and a good head for logistics
