I'm wondering if N,N dichloro butanediamine can be easily hydrolysed by say a strong base like NaOH.
Reason asking as 1, 4 butandiol was originally made by hydrolysing N, N dinitro-1,4-butanediamine, and I figure the chloro version would also yield 1, 4 butanediol.
