1. Hliníkový amalgám je třeba připravit předem, je to důležitý krok
2. Přidejte svůj p2p, methylamin do amalgámu spolu s isopropanolem.
3. Udržujte reakční teplotu <30 stupňů
4. Se 40 g p2p a 40 g hliníkového FOILu získáte 100% runu .
5. Před filtrací Al/Hg kalu přidejte NaOH/KOH, usnadní to proces filtrace a zničí zbývající Al.
6. A tak dále...

Dříve jsem dělal na 200litrových sudech, 100litrové sudy jsou také v pořádku, a dělal jsem reakci v jednom hrnci.

350-400 gramů rtuti na 10L b (400 gramů je opravdu hodně agresivní), 15L methylaminu 40% a pak jako 30L methanolu.
S tou fólií si nejsem jistý, nakonec jsem udělal tak 2/3 plného kýble s poškrábanou/poškozenou fólií (bez kuliček), takže to byla ta váha.

Nakonec to bylo moc fólie.
Výtěžek: 12 l při PH 12.

Tehdy s methylaminem, každý ví, že jsou pro to lepší alternativy, když se pracuje např. s Al/Hg.

When you say the Al amalgam can be made in situ does that mean one doesn’t have to wash & decant the HgCl from the aluminum before introducing the p2p + methylamine mixture? The HgCl can be left in the flask while reduction happens and will be extracted out later during product purification?

I'm currently experimenting with al/hg and wanted to scale the synthesis. I asked myself the question of whether it is absolutely necessary to use a capacitor? I suspect it is needed to keep the methylamine and solvent (methanol) in reaction vessel. But would it be possible to compensate for methylamine loss with a new methylamine-methanol solution?

Perhaps an excess of methylamine was used, not much, just to compensate
Add an amount of water
Keep the temperature no more than 60 degrees and you will be fine
