Question Good reasons for an end user declaration

Hey in the EU there are a lot of chemicals you can buy as long as you declare a non suspicious reason for wanting them. (Ofcourse there is still the possibility the cops, who get a copy of this paper, show up at the adress you order to but thats not a problem for me)

So my question is could the experts of this forum make a list for the most common precursors and some legal reasons to need them? Maybe pinned somewhere...

In my case I would need reasons for:
Benzaldehyde
Nitroethane

Yeah i know these, they are realible and good, but the price of nitroethane here is like they selling it in gold cans haha i think if nitrochemis from pl got much cheaper and so on.

For a company a good reason is one where it can be demonstrated that the chemical is used to produce an actual product sold by the company, whether as a reagent, solvent, catalyst, used for cleaning etc. A shell company that produces nothing will have a hard time justifying purchases of most chemicals that require an end user declaration.

As an individual you could claim to be a hobby RC builder, or a hobby rocket builder (to justify nitrous compounds, peroxide, etc), but you better have some of those things lying around so you're not caught empty handed. Similarly, you could claim to make videos for youtube but then you better have a channel to show for it and have a solid understanding of the legit uses of that chemical to pass a smell test. However, based on my experience any seller who requires an end user declaration for something will only sell it to a registered business and not to an individual.

I hate sharing any tricks, I like teaching people to think for themselves. What I will say, is if you want a certain chemical, look up a product you can make with that product, and order a couple other compounds in that synthesis, and say that's what you are trying to do.
For instance, if one wanted some acetic anhydride, you could say you are trying to learn to make drugs, ie medicine, in this case acetaminophen/paracetamol....and you want some 4aminophenol and acetic anhydride.
I think that after you succeed, you will start your own company to order these things.

Yes, nitroethane is sold you just have to know where to look. And, again, you would be wise to order more things involved in the use of nitroethane, so you don't look like you're buying precursors

I just wanted some legit chemicals to synthesis out of those compounds.

If you just say i have a youtube channel or I want to make rocketfuel ofcourse they won't sell.

We will take this topic into consideration. It is important for many to know the legal areas of use of precursors. As for nitroethane, it can be used as a fuel for auto/aircraft models, just like nitromethane. And benzaldehyde is widely used in perfumery.

It told me I could use bezaldehyde and nitroethane to synthesize beta-nitrostyrene
which is used in photopatterning(chip manufacturing) and a whole lot of other stuff.

Just don't be stupid about it. I don't know about you, but I consider giving "home-grown semiconductor photolithography" as a reason for the purchase of chemicals utterly idiotic, unless that's what you really do and can demonstrate. Because anyone reviewing or checking these things (which could be years later after a terrorist attack that used the particular chemical you purchased) will say "hmmm, I have some doubts about that. Can I see it?"

I think it would be stupid to order to your real name and adress anyway. Imho/in my case it just has to pass the "smell test" of the trader to get it and be gone before the police could check on it

That might depend. Sometimes I find it the easiest to order to my real name and address, but it depends on the delivery company. For things delivered by the national postal system a real name is better. Their delivery people know the district they deliver in almost every day. They will instantly spot a new name on a mailbox, or a delivery to an unoccupied house, etc. Using such techniques attracts more attention to the shipment than using your real name. For shipments by private couriers this is different, their only point of contact with the recipient is the phone. So you can create a totally fake identity that is used for ordering and shipping details, and later redirect the parcel to a new address, or accept it on behalf of the fictitious character.
