Is there any other methods of getting P2np ? nitroethane is highly watched where I am ? Or would p2p be a better option for me ? I’m only needing to do small amounts at a time

Try to obtain propionic esters if you can they are easier to come by and are cheaper than nitroethane then by darzens reaction you get glycidic esters upon hydrolysis you get P2P.

If not P2np, P2P should do the job with some extra work.
