V tabuľke je uvedená hustota 40 % metylamínu 0,89 g/ cm3, preto sa v 20 ml získa 7,18 g čistého plynného metylamínu.
Porovnajme molekulové hmotnosti metylamínu a jeho hydrochloridu:
M (CH3NH2)HCl = 67,518 g/mol
M CH3NH2 = 31,057 g/mol.
Pomer = 2,174
Ak použijete pomery zo syntézy, budete potrebovať 15,6 g metylamínhydrochloridu na nahradenie 20 ml 40 % roztoku metylamínu.
Metylamínhydrochlorid je potrebné vopred rozpustiť v pomere 1 g na 2,5 ml vody (15,6 g a 39 ml).
Pripravte roztok hydroxidu sodného (NaOH) z 18 g a 54 ml vody, nechajte ho vychladnúť a nalejte ho do banky s roztokom 2-bróm-3,4-metyléndioxypropiofenónu. Potom pridajte roztok metylamínhydrochloridu. Potom pokračujte podľa pokynov.

Hello, I'm doing the math, and I see that the molar ratio of NaOH isn't equivalent with methylamine HCl. It doubles. It's for some reason?
