Most of darkweb RC forums has synthesis of cocaine, it's right formula, but the yield quite will be low, so i recommend doing it from plant, im not expert at cocaine but coca leafs is better

In an oven-dried 100-ml round bottom flask was added 1.00g (4.25 mmol) of (+)-ecgonine methyl ester HCl with 7 ml of dry pyridine and stirred in an ice bath. The reaction was protected from moisture with argon. Dropwise over 5 min was added a solution of 0.8 ml (6.85 mmol) of benzoyl chloride in 5 ml of pyridine. After addition was complete the ice bath was removed and the reaction was stirred 24 h under argon. Dry acetone (200 ml) was added and the slurry was filtered by suction filtration. The crude (+)-cocaine hydrochloride was washed with an additional 100 ml of dry acetone. The product was dried yielding 1.28 g (89%). The hydrochloride was dissolved into 20 ml of water, made pH 8 with 5% ammonium hydroxide, and extracted 4 times with 50 ml of methylene chloride. The solvent was dried over sodium sulfate and evaporated in vacuo. The free base was recrystallized from diethyl ether and petroleum ether yielding 1.01 g (78%) of pure (+)-cocaine base, [α]D24 +35.8° (c=1, 50% aqueous EtOH), mp 96.0-97.5°C. The literature48 lists the (-)-enantiomer at [α]D24 -35° (c=1, 50% aqueous EtOH), mp 98°C.

Racemic and (-)-cocaine can be synthesized using the same benzoylation procedure and clean-up using (+)-EME and (-)-EME respectively.

1 simply needs an esterification (a reduction and methylation)
2 simply needs a benzoylation described above.

I'm very interested to see a video on this. It sounds like OP did the synthesis at least once. Will you post the results from EC or tell us the proportion of isomers? What was the cost to produce? If the isomers are similar to cocaine, but not cocaine, which yeild are you reporting? If your product has cocaine isomers in it, it's not really cocaine, it's a blend.

We could extract it from plant matter, but we're not all in South America. We could make similar drugs, but if we're making similar drugs then there are already better drugs, imo.

Can someone answer if this route is viable on a small scale if one didn't plan to profit from it? How much would it take to produce, say 30gs?

The CHINESE will sell you 2-cmt, which is only a couple Reactions away. I got a price quote from them but I couldn't afford it based on my fear that I couldn't pull it off. They quoted me $150 for a 10g sample. So you are probably looking at...idk, $10,000 kg?
I know it works because about 1 out of 200 samples tested by drugs-data, where you mail it in and pay $100, is synthetic cocaine.

I wrote about it, either above or in another thread about this topic. An alkylation reaction (methylation) and a Fischer esterfication are the 2 reactions. You can find examples in pretty much every cocaine synthesis scheme. I wouldn't suggest one over another based on I haven't done it.
