Question Fentanyl infused weed. Is this a real thing?

Today I came across a statement by a weed vendor in a DNM where they claimed that a very high %age of weed in the EU is now laced with fent.

I have spent some time reading UNODC documents trying to see if this is mentioned anywhere and I found ZERO mention in the cannabis section. In the Opiates section (both are in booklet three attached) there is nominal mention of fent use in adulterating various other chemicals (not much in the way of naming beyond Heroin) and most of that restricted largely to North America.

Has anyone actually seen people fuck with weed like this? I mean the strength of the hydroponically grown stuff is so much higher today than it was a decade ago, why would you put fent into weed?

Anyway, looking for some insight that your brilliant minds may contain.

Nowadays, marijuana can be soaked with everything that is at hand. Whether it's synthetic cannabinoid or fentanyl.
This is due to the fact that nowadays you can legally and cheaply buy CBD marijuana that looks great but lacks THC.
To give such a herb a narcotic effect, people impregnate it with fentanyl and other substances.
+ fentanyl keeps the client coming back for more and more.
Of course, now there is a new alternative to THC - HHC, it has a potentiality of 20-25% less than THC and so far it is legal in most European countries, but not everyone has it in stock and continues to impregnate CBD grass or agricultural grass that looking like real marijuana.

Have you actually seen this in practice?

I agree with @spanara that an experienced weed smoker will know right away if they are burning hemp vs weed.

I have a cart of HHC-O but not yet tried it, saving it for a rainy day (not much of a weed smoker myself)

In the CIS countries, UR-144 or JWH series is added to weak marijuana. I can say for sure that synthetic cannaboids like (ur144 / JWH-018) are almost indistinguishable from natural ones. The only thing is a quick entry and a quick exit, but if you use prolongators, the effect lasts longer.

As for fentanyl, you don’t need a lot of it, 1.2-1.5 mg of fentanyl per 1 g of marijuana is enough so that the effect is not strongly felt and the person gets used to the product and gets addicted.
In any case, I don't think it's fair, so I don't recommend doing it.

I have no intention of doing this - just I already test various substances for fent and now I am thinking I need to also test my son's supply of weed too. Fent tests are going to become an expensive hobby for me...

the thing with cbd weed is that it smells like hemp...
so it might be a thing, but a "real" smoker would detect this straight away.
