Could you train AI to grade pictures according to your specifications yes, but you can't tell anything about meth purity by looking at a picture

AI is just a trend. A bubble of expectation that will stop soon enough.

most likely, but it has a presence now. almost all technology goes obsolete at some point, but if its useful in the moment, why not capitalize on it? ^^;

I believe it is described as intelligent because it is supposed to take initiative at some point on it's own and learn without being programmed further. You can be intelligent with zero knowledge. Likewise, you can have all the knowledge and simultaneously be an idiot. Intelligence is the quality of being able to learn. Knowledge is the learned information itself.

I would put this on the side of not practical or possible without physical testing.

Turing Test... when a machine perfectly mimics a skilled human in effort and impression... The Techno SIngularity starts and speeds up to a very happening future indeed.

There are a lot of drugs that look indistinguishable from each other (all those white powders especially). It might work fine as a first line of defense, but you really should be testing your drugs.

agreed, but testing kits are expensive and not everyone has the money for that. testing kits r also not readily accessible for everyone, so im hoping to find a workaround. these replies arent giving me much hope. if its impossible ill give up and not waste my time, but it would be nice to help those who cant or even dont want to get testing kits. it wont be as effective, but it would be a somewhat functional alternative (hopefully at least)

although, a different user on this site (forgot who, not trying to steal ur spotlight or anything) said u can just use home drug tests lol, just mix the sample with water and put it in the designated cup (or put the strip/stick/whatever in, depending on ur test. just do it like u would if u pissed in it) and it should tell u what drugs ur sample contains (out of the drugs it tests for ofc). only problem is it wont rlly tell u about adulterants, its just able to detect the presence of the drug u want (or maybe other drugs on the screening, such as testing a pressed adderall this way and then having it screen positive for opioids). that method has its potential uses (although ive never personally done it), but i dont think its super effective. still worth a shot if u cant afford a testing kit, i may try it sometime, idk lol ^^;

that post is also the first and last time i heard about this, so if someone else tested this method lmk if it works. if its not totally useless then its at least worth considering imo

Thats way too complicated and uninteresting too me. I stick to the AI tell the purity of a drug by pictures. Molecular level somewhat even, but it is expensive.

Based on a photograph, it specifically won't work. There's something called light spectroscopy. It's a simple device that can be made at home for a phone. An AI trained for this purpose can play a role in analyzing images taken through it. If anyone is working on this or brainstorming about it, feel free to contact me.

I don't think it could be really possible without a lab test

at that point just trow the shit in a nmr. also i think one of the problems is that impuritys can be white aswell i think the only thing it could do is look if its cristaline or amorphus or white or not but does that realy reflect purity ?

I have seen some really good looking dope that was no good at all when smoked. Probably not a viable solution.

I think it would theoretically be possible to make one which can analyze the pictures and search for some evident of impurities, but the bigger problem would probably be that it is hard to exactly tell the purity solely based on a picture and look at general.

Your post doesn't make much sense. Rather... It is not technically impossible but what is impossible is to 100% affirm the quality of the product just with a simple image.

Unless you create a 3D version of the product and check each part, I don't really see how you could do it otherwise.
However, there are other solutions to achieve this but far too complex for you.

This requires extensive research on the image so you will need optimization otherwise it will take too long, and of course a database + search engines using public APIs.

It's not finished, there are many things to do like checking the authenticity of the image, if there has been no modification, etc.

Just check the quality manually.

I have also been thinking about it for a while. An app for evaluating TLC tests would perhaps be very easy to implement, but the TLC test is not easy enough to carry out. What could a test for the qualitative and quantitative determination of drugs look like, which is not too expensive and can easily be carried out by anyone without special previous knowledge, without expensive heavy equipment? I have a few ideas for this. Is anyone interested in it? You are welcome to write to me about it and maybe we can work on the implementation. Best regards
